The lime production from calcareous stone and timber represents a traditional processing technique that was preserved up to the recent introduction of concrete.
Near a charcoal pile and along the first stretch of the trail of the Franks, leading from Salbertrand to Gad di Oulx country hamlet, you can see traces of ancient lime kilns.
