Meda-Montorfano (ME-MO)

  • Trail Conditions: On foot
  • Interest: Flora, Wildlife, Hystory
  • Duration: 6 hour/s 30 minutes

More than 25 kilometers of well-marked route, thanks to the new signposting and almost entirely within the Groane and Brughiera Briantea Park.

The Meda-Montorfano itinerary connects the Meda railway station, via easy paths through meadows and woods, to the shores of the beautiful lake in the Montorfano municipality. Mapped and promoted in 1987, it crosses the most significant places of the Brughiera, both from a naturalist point of view (Zoca di Pirutit, Mordina Small Lake, Terrò stream and Cantù woods) and from a historical-architectural one, such as the small churches and the many farmsteads scattered throughout the area.
