The welcome point, inaugurated in 2002, is situated in the northern section of the Protected Area and is provided with a large car park and cycle racks.
The structure develops along the last stretch of one of the lake outlets and consists of two small buildings surrounded by a garden equipped with tables and benches. Wood is the dominating material: this choice reflects the intention to integrate the Visitor Center in the surrounding landscape and to reduce its visual impact. The presence of bowers with creepers and grass carpets on the roofs will "camouflage" as much as possible the buildings in the surrounding environment.
In the garden there are several vegetable essences, chosen among the autochthonous species of the Park: along the wet border of the canal, tourists will see flea docks and iris, along the paths bushes of crab grass and hawthorn. The Visitor Center will soon be covered with luxuriant honeysuckles.
