The Aquatic Ecosystem Interpretation Center is a place dedicated to the conservation and study of the aquatic environments and forms of life (fish, invertebrates, or plants). It is similar to a multipurpose center combining naturalistic research activities, educational activities, and the enhancement of the species and territory characterizing Lura Park. It is situated in the area of Rosorè di Bregnano (CO), near a didactic wetland and the sport fishing small lake.
Besides the important educational activities and observations carried out by students at any school grade, the Aquatic Ecosystem Interpretation Center also represents a potential attraction for hikers. It houses reconstructions of natural environments also far from their place of origin, many times with charming and particular features that can transform a relaxing walk in the Park into an original experience.
Today, a Visitor Center like this - where the wetland is combined with the reconstructions of natural habitats - should also work as an intermediary between science and the public, exploiting a context particularly rich in opportunities and ideas that, supported by didactic planning, will attract, sensitize, inform, document, and entertain. In a few words, educate and amuse at the same time.
