	Parco La Mandria works on environmental education issues for schools and families, paying particular attention to the needs of disabled persons. It offers educational projects and proposals to visit the protected areas dealing with several issues and particularly dedicated to different age brackets, from kindergartens to secondary schools, with the possibility for teachers to suggest new issues and collaborate to the organization of the educational project. The permanent multimedia and interactive exhibit, AL-BO, understanding and playing with the tree and the wood, represents another important environmental education instrument for the activities dedicated to schools and for thematic learning activities open to everyone. The initiative A La Mandria in famiglia was born from the idea to offer parents and children a space to have fun together, discovering at the same time the wonderful Park environment. The woods become here the ideal setting for adventures, discoveries, tales, and experiences involving both adults and children. The Park commitment to make its services accessible for everyone has been transformed into a consistent action supporting association and groups of disabled persons, finding out adequate visiting itineraries and specific activities. Another activity is represented by information meetings which are periodically organized at the Park, including bird watching courses, exhibits on the Middle Ages in collaboration with the pre-Park Municipalities, and exits in the field led by the experts who are carrying out naturalistic research activities in the protected areas managed by the Park Authority. Besides environmental education issues, the activities also focus on educational museum activities. Besides the traditional visits to Vittorio Emanuele II Royal Apartments, the Park also offers interesting educational activities focusing on historical and artistic issues. Such activities aim at completing the range of naturalistic projects organized by the Environmental Education Service. The educational proposals linked to the Royal Apartments are completed by a workshop activity leading children to experience observation, comparison, and knowledge. The educational activity linked to the Royal Apartments is based on an extremely evocative and easily intelligible environment - it is the King's private house - and on the great variety of suggested routes, that can be easily adapted to the age of the students and the teachers' needs. The thread of all the projects is the aim to draw students close to the atmosphere of the middle-class salon, to the 19th century places and their historical and artistic meaning, and to reflect together on the evolution of the house by using methodologies and instruments adequate to the various age brackets.
