Along the banks of river Mincio it is possible to see a crocodile. Don't you believe us? Then go to the Sanctuary of the Graces in Curtatone and look up at the ceiling: you will see a stuffed crocodile representing a dragon, therefore evil. But it could also be the symbol of pharmacy instead of the snake, since the monks used to managed a hospital next to the sanctuary. The Sanctuary of the Graces faces Lago Superiore and lies where a capital in Prato Lamberto used to be, representing the Madonna with the Child, worshipped by fishermen and considered miraculous: her fame grew so much that the altar was increasingly enlarged.
