Spelt

Spelt is a very ancient cereal with an important food value. As a matter of fact, it contains over 50% carbohydrates, a good percentage of proteins, and a 3% of fats, as well as minerals and vitamins. Spelt favors blood coagulation and stimulates, at the same time, the immune system. It is ideal for people with diet problems, since its consumption gives a one's fill feeling. Spelt is sown in autumn and harvested in summer (the cultivation method is similar to the wheat cultivation method).
