The building is situated on a hill, in a very charming site housing in the past a temple dedicated to Isis which became a proto-Benedictine cenoby with the diffusion of the western monasticism in the 5th-6th centuries AD. The ruins of the previous epochs were incorporated in a Villa including a garden with a great floristic heritage and characterized by an orange grove.
