The Park Nursery
The Park Nursery was established in the year 2000 with the aim to preserve and safeguard the genetic heritage of the most interesting species out of the 1,900 species forming the flora of Aurunci Mountains and to recover deteriorated and damaged areas with low environmental impact techniques.
Over the years, the Park Nursery has been enriched with further activities and initiatives involving thousands of visitors every year. Get surrounded in the atmosphere of the Nursery means carrying out a journey among colors, perfumes, and the professions of the past recalling the precious and uncontaminated nature of the summits of Aurunci Mountains.
The Park Carpenter's Shop
In the same structure housing the Nursery, there is also the Park Carpenter's Shop, a real workshop where handicrafts are produced: trays and small notice boards, but also trail markers, benches for public areas, compotes, etc., everything created with the wooden mass coming from the forest maintenance activities.
The Craftsmen Workshop
The commitment of the Park Authority to enhance ancient professions bound to disappear because of industrialization has become even more evident with the recovery of the job of "strammaro", an essential profession of the local craftsmanship.
