Seed produced in the agricultural holding, coming from a local ecotype: Ciavattone, of the family Papillonaceae, genus Phaseolus, and species Vulgaris L. Small Ciavattone bean is used both ripe and dry. It has a flat shape, white color, medium size: length 1.58 cm, width 0.84 cm, thickness 0.42 cm. The plant has a semi-fixed growth, semi-bowed down bearing, and an average height of 42 cm. Compound trefoil leaf, oval, pale green. The papilonaceous flower is white with cluster inflorescence. Autogamous pollination. The fruit consists of a medium-size brown pod: length 10.20 cm, width 1.20 cm. Phenology: flowering period mid-June.
