The awakening of the bear

Abruzzo land of bears and men. Fourth days dedicated Marsican brown Bear and spring.

From Friday 28 April to Monday 1 May 2023

The Marsican brown bear (Ursus arctos marsicanus) is a rare subspecies of the Brown Bear, which is confined to the most remote areas of the Central and wild. We take care of bears for many years, spreading scientific knowledge, history and culture that covers this extraordinary plantigrade. "The Awakening Bear" is a "full immersion bearberry" in the field, which will give the opportunity to the participants of readme.cc deepen their knowledge about the bear. The program is designed for walking in areas usually frequented by bears, studying the behavior, life, nutrition and recognizing the tracks. The cool hours of the day (sunrise and sunset) are generally dedicated to the actual sighting, which will take place with respect for the animal. In this regard, we suggest you take a look at the "Ecosophy," the set of rules which inspire all our activities.
