Environmental Education Program - School Year 2012/2013
With the start of the new school year also the environmental education activities begin with the program "Tra i Banchi sull'Alta Murgia" (In the schools of Alta Murgia). This project will be carried out by five of the most committed organizations as far as environmental education and sustainable development are concerned. For the school year 2012/2013 the Park Authority entrusted five organizations (CARS-Center for Speleological Researches Altamurano, the Environmental Education Centers "Masseria Carrara" from Modugno, "Orphrys" from Ruvo and "Terra Mia" from Gravina and Poggiorsini, coordinated by the cooperative "Ulixes" from Bitonto) with the Environmental Education Program, which comprises classes, practical activities in laboratories as well as hikes. All the activities are directed to every school belonging to the park territory: Andria, Ruvo, Gravina in Puglia, Minervino Murge, Corato, Spinazzola, Cassano delle Murge, Bitonto, Toritto, Santeramo in Colle, Grumo Appula and Poggiorsini.
