Fall foliage in the forest reserve

Colour explosion at Guadine Pradaccio Reserve

Sunday 22 October 2017

Initiative organised by: Nature and walking guides

Beech foliage is surely the most spectacular at Appennino Tosco-Emiliano National Park, and it reaches its peak every year, in the second half of October. One of the best places to enjoy it is Guadine Pradaccio Reserve, where only groups accompanied by Carabinieri Forestry agents are allowed. There, all the elements join to create the perfect colour palette: beeches, mountains, rock, sky and water, that mirrors the colours to a magical effect. We will reach Lake Pradaccio, walk on its shores and then go back to the hut. Our guide, an expert mycologist, will help us observe not only the foliage, but also the many protected mushrooms growing in the place.
