Established in 2006, the Museum has a collection of machines and tools that were traditionally used to process cork.
Creating the Cork Museum in Cervarezza was an ambitious project, in which many people have believed and participated over the last few years. We therefore ask visitors an effort that goes beyond the simple observation of the exhibited items. These old machines, tools and photographs keep the origin and history of a community that has been able to take a product like cork - which had nothing to do with these places - and turn it into a source of employment and livelihood. The museum commemorates the men and women who, with inspiration and the tenacity that has always characterised life on the mountains, managed to diversify their traditional activities, changing their habits and making cork processing a quality industry in their territory.
