Four environmental education projects financed by La Maddalena Archipelago National Park will characterize the didactic activity of several schools all over the island starting from the new year's first months. Furthermore, an environmental education project realized in collaboration with the Italian Association for Organic Farming (AIAB, Associazione Italiana Agricoltura Biologica) will be also proposed. The environmental education projects are some of the priority goals of the Park Authority, and every year they represent an opportunity for an active exchange between younger generations and the structure situated in Giulio Cesare Street, involving and educating tens of children on issues concerning the environmental protection and enhancement.
The four projects' titles are "Il Parco Nazionale nella scuola" ("The national Park at School", developed through several didactic proposals), "Conosci il mare e proteggilo" (Know the sea and protect it), "Parco tra Sardegna e Corsica" (A Park between Sardinia and Corsica) and "Moby Dick è in Sardegna" (Moby Dick lives in Sardinia). Realized by the teachers of the schools situated within the territory in collaboration with the officers of the Park's Office for Environment, each activity concerns specific issues on the Park according to the different educational needs. Starting from this year, together with the environmental issues also food education projects will be proposed: ten lessons to try to discover the natural tastes of the organic products again.
