Gorgona Island

Cory's Shearwater

The northernmost island (43°25'37'' lat. north) and the smallest island of the Archipelago, it houses a penal colony. It covers 220 ha and lies about 37 km from Livorno, 39 from Capraia Island, and 60 from Corsica. It has a little more than 5 km of coasts and lies in the territory of the Municipality of Livorno.
