The access door of Mammola is housed in a historic building situated in the municipality of Mammola, which has been recently renovated by the Park Authority. Through the realization of this access door the Aspromonte Park means to highlight the significance of the Industrial Archaeology, through its artifacts, its significance in the time context, and in the everyday life of the people who lived in that time. Such features are represented by the ancient mills which still today highlight the discovery of the hydraulic machinery able to replace the animals with revolutionary effects in the field of the industrial production. History is told through structures which guaranteed the food supplies necessary for the locals to live.
Mammola's access door represents a reference point for the tourists, visitors and students who want to analyze in depth some important features of the territory, especially concerning the industrial archaeology of the Park.
