Ancient muletrack connecting the hamlet of Volastra to the ridge mare-Vara. The trail sets off just above the village, dividing from trail 506 by a fork to the right. Trail 585 ascends the south-eastern side of mount Le Croci passing through a wood of chestnut trees, then reaches the south side of mount Capri where the vegetation changes to a mixed wood of downy oaks and chestnut trees. In the point beneath the hill pass of Costa Galera, trails 585 and 502 merge, then climb up to the hill pass of Sella di Monte Galera where they meet the AV5T.
