This itinerary, a ring-route, gives the opportunity to observe the main features of the plain forest, including one of the characteristic "pools", Verdesca Pool, an area that is seasonally flooded and that reproduces the original landscape of "Selva di Terracina". Reference points: 5-9-10-7-5. Access from Pontina, km 89.2.
The departure point is situated inside the State-owned Forest, precisely in "Cerasella" picnic area, where you will find some structures of the National Forest Service. Here you will find a wildlife area with didactic purposes, housing injured wild boars and fallow deer that could not survive in the wild.
