The first pack of wolves
The story of the wolf pack that (re)conquered the Park
(Feltre, 17 Jan 21) In the website Il sentiero dei lupi (the wolves' path), created to record the spontaneous recolonization of the territory of Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park by wolves, Il primo branco (The first pack) has been published: a text reconstructing and summarizing the history of the first wolf pack settled in the protected area between 2018 and today.
The authors Bruno Boz, Ivan Mazzon, and Roberto Sacchet tell their experience of video-photography, recording the events of the pack and the results of the monitoring activities carried out by them and by the staff of the Park Carabinieri Department.
The text is accompanied by wonderful images taken in the Park by the three authors and the Carabinieri Enrico Canal and Fabrizio Friz, working in the Forestry Corps.
