Short ring route in the area of Costa Solana and Case Biasetto, through one of the most beautiful and best preserved strips of the Feltre countryside. The path, which partially overlaps with the thematic itinerary of the Chiesette foothills, allows you to admire spectacular specimens of chestnut: a plant "imported" by the Romans but which, according to scholars, was present in Europe before the Quaternary glaciations (concluded 10,000 years ago). The glaciations would gradually reduce the distribution area of the chestnut tree, confining it to Asia Minor. It would therefore not be a "foreign" plant, but an ancient inhabitant of our woods, "brought home" by the Romans after the glaciations forced it to take refuge in warmer areas.

Access: from Feltre take the road that leads to Pedavena, here turn right
Recommended period: all year round
