From Forno di Zoldo, take the road following uphill a stream with high solid flow. Some wet biotopes are very interesting, even it they are still outside the Park area. After crossing beech and spruce fir woods (although Val di Zoldo is dominated by larches), you reach loc. Acqua de la Madonna, Pian dei Plaui, and Malga Prampèr. The itinerary offers spectacular views over Spiz de Mezodì; you can walk further up and reach Sommariva at Pramperèt Mountain Hut (1,850m), with spectacular marshy flowers in bloom and important sites at Pra della Vedova.
From here you can reach Van de Zità and Pian de Fontana along a charming and well-marked trail crossing Piazedai, a place where the glacial and karst formations have curious shapes. The northern slopes of Talvèna are very interesting for their rare floral species. If you look for further itineraries and opportunities, you can deepen your knowledge by reading the hiking literature, but these itineraries require experience and caution.
The Park Plan aims at safeguarding the area with the highest peaks, which has been declared "strict nature reserve". Therefore, it is recommended to follow the marked and easily accessible itineraries developing in the valley bottoms which offer interesting environmental features.
