The Valbonella Botanical Garden is situated about three kilometers far from Corniolo's built-up area, on the road linking the Bidente Valley with the Rabbi Valley, and it is situated at an average altitude of 700 m above sea level.
Its more or less two-hectare-wide area hosts interesting recreations of the main plant environments in the Apennines near Romagna, including a rich species collection (about 300) consisting of rare and protected species. The garden can be visited through a network of paths divided into three theme-routes: the forest, the stream and the open spaces.
