Vico del Gargano

In the heart of the ancient town of Vico del Gargano, in a place dug into wet stone a few meters from the Norman-Suevian Castle and from the Mother Church, there is Trappeto Maratea Museum. Here, among presses and ancient tools, you will discover the features of a land deeply linked to the olive tree values and religiousness. Our tour guides will show you the various stages of the old processing method, from the animal-drawn pressing to the olive pressing with wooden presses, to the collection of the precious oil in stone reservoirs.
