A different experience if you want to discover the valleys of Gran Paradiso National Park in this season (in this case, Val Soana) enjoying intact landscapes with neither snow cannons nor illuminated ski tracks are the tours with snowshoes. You can leave both from the little village of Forzo and the nearby village of Molino di Forzo, climbing to Tressi and, from here, following the trail climbing in the medium Vallone di Forzo. Leaving from Tressi and going beyond a rocky spur where you will notice a wonderful votive pillar set in the rock, continue along the valley bottom and reach the foot of a balcony housing the village of Boschietto and a characteristic small church that has been recently renovated. During the winter, the snow-clad territory is ideal for tours with snowshoes, cross-country and touring skis, and offers the opportunity to sight animals in their wonderful winter coat, like the wild ibex and the chamois. Beyond Boschietto, you will shortly reach the village of Boschettiera and, if you want, you can continue along a route of intermediate difficulty up to bivouac Davito and to Grange Pian Lavina. For both tours, have a look at the avalanche bulletin first and require information on the weather conditions.

N.B.: for Bivouac Davito (2,360m) consider an extra walking time uphill of about 2.5 hours; only 1 hour for Grange Pian Lavina.
