The "Pecunia" project's fifth year of activity
Park and breeders together to rebuild the wool supply chain
(Assergi, 14 Apr 15) Thanks to the "Pecunia" project the Park's wool is going to gain its economic and cultural value back. In fact, after the promising results obtained in the past shearing campaigns, the fifth year of the project offers important news. First of all it announces the establishment of the "Pecunia Association for the enhancement of Wool in the Gran Sasso and Laga Mountains National Park". The association was established in Assergi on the 16th of October 2014 by 18 founder members, and it was immediately ready to welcome new members. Within the project it is also confirmed the partnership with the Abruzzi Breeders Regional Association and with the Territorial Office for Biodiversity of the State Forestry Corps.
