Parco Nazionale del Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga

The 30% of the Abruzzi's territory is protected by a complex system of Parks and Nature Reserves. Many beekeepers on the Apennine, trough nomadism, often move their apiaries from one protected area to the other. Thanks to the low-environmental-impact  agricultural and zootechnical activities and to the richness in spontaneous plant species that are not threatened by intensive agriculture forms, in this area it is possible to produce an excellent honey.
