This guidebook, whose author is one of the main experts of our mountains, describes 80 among the hundreds of possible itineraries in the protected area. The author and the Park Authority aim at providing updated and precise information and describing the many and interesting possible itineraries you can carry out on foot on Gran Sasso and Laga.
The classical high-mountain trails leading to Corno Grande, Gorzano and other high summits can be carried out without difficulties only during the summer; they are completed by short panoramic tours, walks among medieval villages and olive groves, itineraries leading to hermitages, fortresses, and necropolises. Many itineraries can be carried out also in spring and autumn, some of them also in winter, when the heart of the massif requires crampons or skis.
