Horse Riding Trail - From Rigopiano to Capestrano

This stretch of the Horse Riding Trail crosses Rigopiano plateau, the large karst basin of Voltigno, and the large plateau of Campo Imperatore, all places of great naturalistic interest. It also gives the opportunity to discover Tirino Valley, with the homonymous river springing at the foot of Gran Sasso, on the southern slope, and the basin of Ofena, known as "forno d'Abruzzo" (Abruzzi oven) for its particular microclimate making it a real Mediterranean island at the foot of Gran Sasso.
