From Castelli historical town center, follow the road to Rigopiano. Beyond San Francesco Monastery, the School of Ceramics Art, and the houses of San Rocco and San Salvatore, you will get to a left turn, before which you will find a meadow with picnic tables. On the right (770m, 4 km from the town) you will see a level carriage road entering the thick wood and leading towards the wall.
