Forty-day bean

Variety with a fixed growth, with a small-medium size bean, squashed and generally with an oval shape. It has a light brown color with evident dark streaks. These beans are very appreciated because they are tasty and ideal to prepare "pasta e fagioli". In the past, it was probably widespread in most of the territories of Aventino and Sangro valleys. It is still recalled for its precocious cycle and organoleptic features.
