For the tour to Cantelmo Castle, leave from Piazza della Libertà, in the town center, take Via Cavour and continue then across Piazza S. Lorenzo. At the end of the houses, there is a pedestrian trail leading to the castle. The trail is easily accessible, since it is in good conditions, with a difference in height of about 250m, since you leave from the 250m of the town to reach the castle, situated at about 500m. The castle, situated at the foot of Mt. Morrone, was built between the year 1000 and 1015 according to the will of Bishop Tidolfo.
