From the "M Locati" Visitor Centre in Lama dei Peligni follow the paved road towards the old town centre and turn right at a sign indicating "villaggio neolitico". The trail skirts the enclosure housing the reconstruction of some huts from the Stone Age and continues on the left through uncultivated land and neglected fields. The climb ends near a farmhouse in ruins where you will take the road on the left taking you immediately to the observation point of the Chamois Wildlife Area. Inside the perimeter fence, with a little patience, it is possible to spot a small herd of this precious ungulate (Rupicapra pyrenaica ornata) which is endemic to the Central Apennines.
