The Orfento gorge is doubtless one of the Park's most fascinating places: clear water, tiny waterfalls and the sound of the river and the nature make this a uniquely exciting hike. Departure from the bridge of Caramanico Terme to the valley's most beautiful part. Picnic on the river bank, and back to the point of departure.
The Orfento valley is where deers and roe deers (now inhabiting the whole Park) were reintroduced in the 1980s. "Nature", the world's most important scientific magazine, has used this valley as world-class example of biodiversity.
