The origins of the castle go back to very ancient times.
With its powerful owners, the Hendl family, it acquired over the centuries great prestige and fame.
In 1863 it was given to the Municipality of Laces. It has been entirely renovated and houses today congresses and cultural events.
In this Renaissance complex you will also find the education center of Val Venosta. Educational activities are based on the holistic concept of the person, aiming not only at promoting employment, but also the development of personality, with the goal to favor better life projects and a greater responsibility towards the social environment.
