Paratico - Pontoglio

The path starts in Paratico, on the bridge that connects Paratico to Sarnico. After a climb, turn right on the road that flanks the church of S. Maria Assunta and the cemetery, then continue downhill towards the area rich in vineyards, following a hilly road for a few km.
You will arrive in a small valley up to the Niggeler & Kupfer factory.
The road continues with a long climb that leads to cross the residential area of Capriolo. Near the state nursery school of Capriolo turn right, and take a road that leads you into the open countryside, between fields and farmhouses.
Pass the highway underpass and go after a few kms the level crossing, shortly reaching a disused cement factory, from which the outskirts of Palazzolo sull'Oglio begins.
Take the descent of via Marconi and via Sgrazzutti, at the roundabout turn left, go along via XX Settembre and reach the main square of Palazzolo, turning right into via Santissima Trinità and leave the town.
Take the country road, pass under the ring road and continue on a protected path that runs alongside the river and some irrigation canals. Turn to the right in via Pontoglio and reach the center of the town. In the stretch between Palazzolo and Pontoglio it is possible to stop on the river at "Prati Verdi" with bar-restaurant and equipped area.
