C.E.A.MA.T (Marine and Terrestrial Environmental Education Center) is a new instrument of cultural promotion for the sustainable development in marine and terrestrial environments, aiming at developing a new awareness of the environment and the sea.
CEAMAT aims at offering training, education, observation, and study activities leading the principles of economic development - which are responsible for negative biological evolutions like global warming and water and coastal pollution - towards a "sustainability of the development". That is, towards a development that may balance the relationship between economic growth and marine and coastal ecosystem needs.
CEAMAT is an organization with means and functions very similar to those of the classical environmental education centers. But it consists of two different structures: one on the mainland, at Casa del Parco and the other on board of an equipped boat crossing the stretch of sea overlooking Porto Conte Park, towards the coast going from Asinara National Park to Gallura coasts, also calling at the south of Corsica.
