The Trails

Trail no. 1 from Portovenere to Colle del telegrafo

The trail leaves from Portovenere, that you can comfortably reach by bus from Sarzana-La Spezia. The walking time is of about three hours. The trail begins with a long flight of steps running along the walls of the castle of Portovenere and rapidly reaches Sella Derbi. From here you can enjoy wonderful views over the coast. At the end you will reach Campiglia, at 382 metres above sea level.
It is also possible to reach Colle del Telegrafo (516 metres above sea level) by crossing the beautiful pinewood. Here you will enjoy a unique panorama stretching from Alpi Apuane to Carrara marble quarries and the very green Val di Vara.

Practice Wall: Mt. Muzzerone

Muzzerone and its cliffs have become one of the ideal places for thousands of climbers coming from all over Europe, and not only. The main reasons of this huge success are not only the uniqueness of the landscape, characterized by the presence of the sea, and the excellent quality of the rock, but also the accessibility and the proximity of the cliffs one to the other, offering a great variety of styles and several opportunities at all levels of difficulty.
Most of the sections have been explored and equipped for climbers, but behind an unexplored corner or descending a gully towards the sea you may find a new cliff or a new itinerary, a further evidence of the beauty and wilderness of the area.
