Between history and nature: Via dei Tubi and guided tour of the military constructions of 202nd Batteria Chiappa

For experienced hikers.
Appointment with the guide in front of the Church of San Rocco di Camogli at 8.30 am.
With your guide you will reach the Caselle spring in the San Fruttuoso valley, to hike the so-called Via dei Tubi which follows the route of the old Camogli aqueduct. You will follow the pipe that once carried drinking water to the town of Camogli. A very scenic itinerary of historical-cultural as well as naturalistic interest, which develops along technical routes, equipped with handrail chains, and includes the crossing of some tunnels without lighting. At the end of the route of the Via dei Tubi you reach Batterie, military posts dating back to the Second World War that can be visited with the Guide.
 
End of the guided activity scheduled for 13.30 pm. Return to San Rocco independently along an easy path.
Itinerary: San Rocco - Gaixella - Pietre Strette - Via dei Tubi - Batterie
Gain in altitude: about 220 m uphill
Equipment needed: walking shoes or hiking shoes (non-slip sole), flashlight (also from mobile phone), community mask, water bottle.
