Environment, History and Art

The Parco Locale d'Interesse Sovracomunale (that is a Park concerning and extending over many municipalities) Rile Tenore Olona has been named after the three streams crossing most of the territory. Surrounded by the parks Pineta di Tradate and Appiano Gentile, Campo dei Fiori and Ticino, the PLIS Lanza, Medio Olona and Bosco del Rugareto, the Rile Tenore Olona Park extends over more than 1550 hectares in the territory of the Alpine foothills in the province of Varese: this territory keeps not only an important agricultural and woody area but also a wide historical, cultural and monumental heritage, so that it also contributes to create a "green lung" in one of the most urbanized areas in Lombardy. Environment, History and Art all together: these are he main features of the Parco Rile Tenore Olona.
