The volume, in Italian and Spanish, represents the catalog of the photographic exhibit dealing with the origin and development of the nine Sacred Mountains of the prealpine chain through documents, photos of buildings, figurative arts and landscapes: these particular places and pilgrimage routes developed between the late 15th century and the early 17th century in the north of Italy. The photos are completed by texts describing historical and architectural features and the popular devotion characterizing these Mountains.
