Bibliography regarding the history, typology, landscape and architectural structures, figurative decorations of Sacri Monti and Complessi Devozionali

The series dedicated by the Documentation Center to the combination between a general bibliography of Sacri Monti and similar devotional complexes, - started in 2007 with the publication of the bibliography in German by Harald Quietsch, La Passione nel paesaggio - Passion in der Landschaft – has now achieved the publication of the Italian bibliography, edited by Pier Giorgio Longo and Danilo Zardin, with the coordination by Claudio Bernardi and the commitment of Irene Romagnoli.
This publication offers to those people who are interested in Sacri Monti a longed-for instrument of research, after the occasional or specific bibliographies dedicated to each complex and to the related historical-artistic moments. The present bibliography has not been divided according to typology and theme, but each item follows the alphabetical order of the respective authors; it does not have the ambition to be a comprehensive bibliography, but only a qualitative selection of the works.
