The river is characterized in this stretch by one riverbed developing in meanders because of the lack in slope of the watercourse.
The area is characterized by a thick network of canals and irrigation ditches which are the base of the irrigation system of this stretch of plain between the area of Bergamo and Crema.
In the territory under study there are several villas where members of authoritative families used to spend pleasant stays during the periods of hunting and of harvesting. Among the others, we can remind the Renaissance villa of the Tadini family in Vidolasco (country ward of Casale Cremasco) including an embattled tower, villa Griffoni S. Angelo in Castel Gabbiano with its nearby Watchtower. Other points of architectural interest are the tower of Mozzanica, finished at the beginning of the 16th century and the oratory of Binengo in Sergnano. Among the species of faunistic interest, you can observe the Owl, the Red-backed Shrike, and the very colored Blue Tit.
