Near Ovindoli we find Valle d'Arano, a hanging valley which in ancient times was a lake. The valley originated from torrent La Foce that also shaped the Gorges of Celano-Aielli, one of the most fascinating natural canyons of Central Italy with its steep walls dozens of meters high.
