The territory of the Park is crossed from east to west by the Grandate - Malnate railway line. This line, inaugurated on 24 September 1885, connected the province of Como to that of Varese, passing through Montano Lucino, Villa Guardia, Lurate Caccivio, Olgiate Comasco and Albiolo. Its 16 km route was part of a wider network that led from Como through Varese to Luino and Lake Maggiore.
