A natural walk along the stirone stream
You can leave from the Visitor Center or from the car park of the picnic area "La Bocca" and follow the main gravelly road entering the thick riparian vegetation. Here the vegetation is dominated by black poplars, white poplars, oaks, elms, cherry trees, blackthorns, hazelnut trees, common dogwoods, hawthorns, and wild roses alternating with allochthonous plants like the Tree of Heaven and the Black Locust, whose white clusters of flowers fill with their perfume the whole Park at the end of May.
From the car park you can also take an itinerary for people with disabilities: running along the picnic area, it develops across the riparian wood and gets to the stream Stirone.
After a few hundred meters you must leave the main trail and enter the heart of the Park. The thick vegetation and the singing of the Nightingale and Golden Oriole make even more spectacular the spring foreshortenings of the stream.
