Chestnut Honey

Chestnut monofloral honey has a characteristic taste, strong and persistent, with a rather bitter aftertaste. It does not crystallize or crystallizes in a very irregular way and slowly. It has a more or less dark amber color with reddish shades, tending to become darker according to the quantity of honeydew characterizing its composition. Chestnut honey has a strong, intense, and rather aromatic scent and is often more dense than other honey varieties.
