Marroni Jam

Chestnuts have fed whole populations during wars and famines and have enabled the survival of "weak" people.

Chestnut flour was the main ingredient of many local dishes that today have been rediscovered also in the best restaurants. Jam, made with chestnuts or marroni, has a light brown-hazelnut color and is rather dense and creamy. Jam is very widespread and its origins are surrounded by several legends.
