Corte di Giarola welcomes the head offices of Taro River Regional Park. It is situated at about 15 km from Parma and 2 km from the town of Collecchio.
The ancient monastic complex dating back to the Middle Ages was acquired as a public property in 1998 and the offices were terminated in 1999. They were inaugurated on 24th May 1999 by the Minister of the Environment at that time, Edo Ronchi.
Since then, a continous and gradual work of restoration has given the opportunity to recover many spaces which are dedicated to different activities:
