The brochure is dedicated to Villa Picchetta, housing since January 2001 the new head offices of Ticino Park. The volume opens with the description of the relationship between Picchetta and Ticino valley and continues with the historical analysis of the events linked to the building, from the settlement of Francesco Cid, Spanish noble, to the presence of the Jesuits until the end of the 18th century, to the various property passages until the purchase by Regione Piemonte for the head offices of the Park.
The text is by Emiliana Mongiat, who has carried out a thorough study of the historical documents regarding Villa Picchetta; the color photos are by Giacomo Gallarate.
